The Saline Youth Soccer Association hosted the event with the goal of getting kids signed up for Soccer in the Fall. There was plenty of free food, bounce houses and even face painting for participants. Organizers say they wanted to give kids from other communities an opportunity to play soccer.
"We kind of wanted to broaden our horizons and also extend the invitation to surrounding areas. Also let other communities in Saline County know that we're here," says Coordinator Michael Stewart.
Kids that signed up on Saturday got a chance to register at a discounted price. Organizers plan to continue the community fun days in the future.
